NOIR Warriors mostra il talento di sette artisti Americani di zona che sottolineano la peculiarità della comunità militare di Vicenza.
La mostra è organizzata da Vicenza Women of Colour e co-sponsorizzato da US Army Garrison Italy.
"Lo scopo di questa esposizione è di mettere in risalto le peculiarità e la professionalità dei soldati, dei civili afroamericani e delle loro famiglie.
Questi individui lavorano instancabilmente dietro le quinte a sostegno dei nostri soldati effettivi e delle loro famiglie.
Il Black History Month (mese della storia afroamericana) è iniziato come una celebrazione annuale per ricordare i nostri importanti leader, educatori, scienziati e creativi che hanno dato un contributo significativo al nostro paese e alla nostra cultura. Le loro menti brillanti e visioni straordinarie hanno contribuito a plasmare e definire eventi che hanno avuto un ruolo importante nella storia degli Stati Uniti.
I fotografi Robert P. Wormley, Candice Bassett, Christina M. Bhatti, Claire Wiltse e Sabriana R. Murrey, Andrew Peck e April Lawrence sono stati selezionati per mostrare il loro lavoro incentrato sugli afroamericani che sono soldati (in servizio attivo e veterani), studenti e familiari.
Questa mostra che celebra il Mese della Storia Nera, è in prosecuzione delle tre mostre che hanno avuto grande successo, organizzate da VWOC (Vicenza Women of Color)che hanno contribuito ad aumentare la consapevolezza di come sia la comunità militare Americana di Vicenza sia per la comunità Italiana che noi stessi.
Rende omaggio ai successi di coloro che hanno tracciato il sentiero davanti a noi, permettendoci di essere chi siamo e di stare dove siamo. Sappiamo che ci sono ancora progressi da fare. Questo è un viaggio che vale la pena condividere ogni giorno.

NOIR Warriors displays the talent of seven local American artists that highlights the diversity of the Vicenza Military community. The exhibit is organized by Vicenza Women of Color and co-sponsored by U.S. Army Garrison Italy.

The purpose of this exhibition is to showcase the diversity and professionalism of African American
Soldiers, civilians and their families. These individuals work tirelessly behind the scenes in support of our service members and their families.

Black History Month started as an annual celebration to remember our important leaders, educators, scientist, and creatives that have made significant contributions to our country and our culture. Their extraordinary minds and visions have helped shape and define events that have played a major role in US history.

Photographers Robert P. Wormley, Candice Bassett, Christina M. Bhatti, Claire Wiltse, and Sabriana R.
Murrey, Andrew Peck and April Lawrence were selected to showcase their work focused on African Americans who are military (active and veterans), students, and family members.

This exhibit celebrating Black History Month
follows three successful exhibits organized by VWOC that contributed to raising awareness of the Vicenza Military community with the Italian community as well as our own. It pays homage to the accomplishments of those who blazed the trail before us, making it possible for us to be who and where we are now. We know that there is still progress to be made. This is a journey worth sharing daily.
